What "Embrace" Means

The silence following the final note is beautiful. Its purpose is reflection — reflection on the music, reflection on life, on the world. It provides warmth, or joy, or peace, that few experiences in our modern world do. The silence wraps the soul in its warm embrace, comforting it.

Embrace. That is the feeling I get from music. Music embraces the soul, and through sharing our talents, we get to embrace others in that same experience.

But that feeling isn't guaranteed. It's fragile, and it's easily interrupted. Sometimes our mind wanders while playing, inhibiting us from full intentionality in our music. Other times, physical constraints can inhibit us from performing at our best. These blockers are real, but they can be worked around. That's why our mission is to design a world where no musician is held back from fully Embracing their music — in whatever capacity that means.
